1. Some challenges that we encountered during this project were creating an idea for our models, figuring out what materials we needed to use, and ensuring that our models were stable and looked professional. It was hard to come up with an idea that represented our system on a molecular level, and when we did so, it was difficult to figure out what materials we could use. With our specific tools and materials, it was hard to make our model look professional. However, once we finalized our project, we followed through with it without many complications.
2. Both of our models worked very well. Our actin and myosin model gave a very accurate representation of the process and was very easy to understand. Our arm model was also relatively simple, yet showed the flexing and contracting of the muscles. However, I wish there was a better way to represent the muscles instead of a flat balloon, but there was no other way to do so given the time we had.
3. The most common feedback that we received was that the judges were unsure of the two different functions of the model, so in the future maybe we could elaborate more on the functions and maybe incorporate it into our visual presentation.
